By Hutschenreuther, this is a white vase in a matte glaze, identified on bottom: green mark w/lion in circle, 'Hutschenreuther Germany' underneath circle...Impressed in glaze over the mark is 'F,V, Gugel', impressed under the mark is '6284'.. We're dating it to 1960-1970's, it is a shell/nautilus form in high relief, made by a quality porcelain manufacturer and a exceptional designer in Fabius von Gugel.. Measures approximately: 5 1/2" h x 7" w x 5" d...Condition is VG, very gently used, no cracks/chips/crazing...found a couple of very light surface scratches to the bottom area on side + under the last scroll of the shell, this is an inherent issue for all of these vases made in with this rough matte glaze... Makes quite a stunning display, whether you use it as intended or just as a piece of art pottery..

A large, heavy blue & white transfer bowl & pitcher. Reminiscent of the British transferware, these are marked Victoria Ware Ironstone on the bottom and they are usually copies, made in Japan to resemble the British ceramics. Still, a very lovely and presentable display, they are made quite well. The bowl measures 15 1/2" wide and 5" high, the pitcher is 12 1/2" high.
